MIST Reviewed Our New Dessert Bar Range – Here’s What They Thought

When we created the new Dessert Bar range, our goal was simple: to capture everything that defines Dinner Lady flavour, nostalgia, and indulgence in a new generation of bar salts. Each blend is inspired by the sweet treats that made us who we are, refined through ten years of flavour innovation.

So, when the team at MIST decided to put our latest collection to the test, we were eager to see how it stacked up. True to form, the MIST channel didn’t hold back, trying every flavour live on camera and giving their honest, in-the-moment reactions.

Spoiler alert: they were impressed.

New Vape Bar Salts: A Decade of Desserts

MIST highlighted how the new range captures what Dinner Lady has become known for over the years - nostalgic, indulgent flavours that feel like a true celebration of our “decade of desserts” heritage.

Vaping each flavour through a Vaporesso Cross 5 Mini, they explored the full Dessert Bar line-up and shared their unfiltered thoughts, balancing enthusiasm with honest critique. What followed was a flavour journey through rich puddings, creamy tarts, toasted treats, and buttery classics - all unmistakably Dinner Lady.

Banoffee Pie - “A very moorish dessert vape”

The first flavour to hit the spotlight was Banoffee Pie, a MIST favourite e-liquid form and now reimagined for the Bar Salt collection.

MIST picked up on its “caramelised edge” and “brown sugar flavour”, noting that the banana comes through beautifully - stronger than expected, layered with that signature toffee sweetness.

Their verdict summed it up perfectly: “Delicious… a very moorish dessert vape.”

It’s exactly the kind of nostalgic indulgence we hoped to deliver.

Key Lime Tart - “Tasty, sour, creamy and buttery”

Next, MIST took on Key Lime Tart, a citrusy cousin to our iconic Lemon Tart. The familiar buttery base is there - rich and creamy  but with what they described as a “deep, dark, sour lime” twist.

Comparing it to Lemon Tart, they called it “a similar profile with a tangy twist.”

We designed Key Lime Tart as a bolder, zestier take on a Dinner Lady classic -  and it seems that balance hit the mark.

Apple Crumble Custard - “A subtle surprise”

Described by MIST as “mellow” and “pleasantly subtle”Apple Crumble Custard offered a change of pace. They highlighted the authentic “biscuit crumble and custard leading the way”, with the apple flavour tasting as though it’s “baked into everything else.”

This flavour was never meant to overpower, it’s about that slow-baked comfort of a proper homemade pudding. And MIST appreciated that restraint.

Berry Jam on Toast - “Unorthodox, but unique”

Berry Jam on Toast brought something different to the table.

MIST described it as “a dark piece of toast with a gentle layer of berry jam.” Slightly smoky, slightly sweet - it’s a grounded, breakfast-inspired flavour that defies expectations.

They called it “unorthodox, but unique,” and we couldn’t agree more. Sometimes the most unexpected flavours end up being the most memorable.

Raspberry Tart - “Dinner Lady understand the link between taste and memory”

Few moments in the review were as nostalgic as MIST’s reaction to Raspberry Tart.

They likened it to “those packs of jam tarts from the local shop” - a taste that instantly transports you back to childhood. Calling it “tart, tangy, buttery and nostalgic,” MIST even admitted it “touched my soul quite so powerfully.”

At Dinner Lady, that’s exactly what we strive to create - flavours that evoke emotion as much as they delight the senses.

Salted Caramel Waffle - “Sweet, salty and dark brown in a nice way”

Next up was Salted Caramel Waffle, a rich and comforting blend that MIST described as “dark brown (waffle flavour) in a nice way.”

They praised how the salted caramel shines through - “powerful, strong, and perfectly balanced between sweet and salty.” The waffle adds depth without overpowering the sweetness, giving it that warm, toasted edge.

It’s a flavour that bridges dessert and decadence, and even caught the attention of viewers who usually lean toward tobacco blends.

Pistachio Gelato - “One of the strangest but most moorish e-liquids I’ve ever tried”

If there was one surprise hit of the day, it was Pistachio Gelato.

Initially met with curiosity, it quickly became one of MIST’s favourites. They described it as “thick, sumptuous cream with a healthy dollop of ice,” calling it “a dark horse” and “one of the most moorish e-liquids I’ve ever tried.”

We’ve always said Pistachio Gelato is a flavour for those who love something unexpected, creamy, nutty, and quietly luxurious. Seems MIST agree.

San Sebastian Cheesecake - “The best cheesecake vape I’ve ever tried”

Described by MIST as “unfurling on your tongue like a blossom made of butter,” San Sebastian Cheesecake earned some of the most enthusiastic feedback of the entire review.

They praised its silky texture, rich biscuit base, and authentic burnt-sugar top-finishing with a line that made our day:
“The best cheesecake vape I’ve ever tried in my life - by miles.”

We couldn’t ask for a better endorsement.

Lemon Tart - “Even better today than it was ten years ago”

Of course, no Dinner Lady review would be complete without Lemon Tart - the flavour that started it all.

A decade on, it still captures hearts (and taste buds). MIST recognised it instantly: “There you are, old friend.”

They described it as “tart, sour, sweet lemon curd” with a “buttery biscuit base that latches on like a lover.” Their closing words said it all: “Even better today than it was 10 years ago.”

That blend of familiarity and freshness is exactly what the Dessert Bar range was made to celebrate.

A Range Worthy of Its Heritage

By the end of the review, MIST wrapped things up with a line that perfectly captured what we set out to achieve:
“Dinner Lady, you’ve outdone yourselves with this incredible range. I wouldn’t say there’s a dud in the bunch.”

From iconic favourites to bold new creations, every Bar Salt in the Dessert Bar collection was crafted to celebrate a decade of flavour mastery - proving that nostalgia and innovation can go hand in hand.

Hearing that reflected back from one of the UK’s most trusted vape channels? That’s the cherry on top.
