Replacement Vape Tanks - Find Your Vaping Style

Replacement vape tanks are a vital part of any vape kit, designed to hold e-liquid and house the coil for a smooth and consistent vaping experience. Whether you prefer MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) vape tanks for a cigarette-like draw or sub-ohm vape tanks for producing thick, flavour-packed clouds, choosing the right replacement vape tank is key to enhancing your vape.

What Are Vape Tanks?

A vape tank is made up of several components that work together to deliver vapour and flavour. These include:

  • Mouthpiece (Drip Tip) - Where you inhale.
  • Top Cap – Secures the tank and often includes a filling port.
  • Glass Bulb or Tube - Stores your e-liquid.
  • Vape Coil (Atomiser) - Heats the liquid to create vapour.
  • Airflow Control - Adjusts vapour production and draw.
  • Battery Connector - Attaches the tank to your vape mod or battery.

Most vapers choose replacement vape tanks based on their device manufacturer to ensure compatibility and performance.

At Vape Dinner Lady, we stock high-quality replacement vape tanks from trusted brands, including:

  • Innokin Vape Tanks
  • SMOK Vape Tanks
  • GeekVape Vape Tanks

Choosing the right replacement vape tank helps reduce leaks and ensures the best performance for your device.

MTL vs. DTL Vape Tanks – Which One is Right for You?

Your preferred vaping style will determine the type of tank you need:

  • Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) Vape Tanks – Provide a tighter draw, similar to smoking. Example: Innokin T20S Replacement Tank.
  • Direct-to-Lung (DTL) Vape Tanks – Ideal for sub-ohm vaping, delivering thick vapour clouds.
  • Adjustable Vape Tanks – Allow custom airflow and coil resistance for a personalised experience.

How to Maintain Your Vape Tank

Taking care of your tank extends its lifespan and enhances flavour. To maintain your replacement vape tank:

  • Disassemble carefully and ensure all parts are cool.
  • Rinse the tank (not the coil) with warm water and let it dry.
  • Inspect for wear - replace damaged glass, seals, or coils.
  • Reassemble securely and refill with your chosen Dinner Lady e-liquid.

Replacement Vape Tanks

Need to know more about our products, find the most popular questions below....
A vape tank is the part of a vaping device that holds e-liquid and typically contains a coil that heats the liquid to produce vapor. It is an essential component of most vape devices.
There are several types of vape tanks, including: Sub-Ohm Tanks: Designed for producing large clouds and intense flavour, requiring low-resistance coils and higher wattages. MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) Tanks: Designed for a tighter draw, mimicking the inhalation style of smoking, ideal for higher nicotine e-liquids. RTAs (Rebuildable Tank Atomizers): Allow users to build their own coils. RDAs (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers): Similar to RTAs but usually lack a tank reservoir, requiring users to "drip" e-liquid directly on the coil.
Your vape tank might leak due to: Loose or improperly assembled parts (check the seals and tighten connections). Overfilling the tank. E-liquid enters the airflow tube during filling. Using an e-liquid with the wrong viscosity (e.g., high PG e-liquid in sub-ohm tanks).
Disassemble the tank, including the glass section and coil. Rinse all non-electrical parts with warm water. For tougher residue, soak the parts in warm soapy water or use distilled white vinegar. Let all parts air dry completely before reassembling.
Most modern vape tanks are equipped with a top-fill mechanism: Unscrew or slide open the top cap. Locate the filling port (not the centre airflow tube). Carefully pour your e-liquid into the port. Close the tank and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the wick to absorb the liquid.
Coils generally last 1-2 weeks, depending on usage, the type of e-liquid, and your vaping habits. Signs that you may need a replacement include: Burnt or bad taste. Reduced flavor or vapour production. Gurgling or leaking from the tank.
Not all e-liquids are suitable for all tanks: High VG e-liquids are ideal for sub-ohm tanks to produce large clouds. Higher PG e-liquids are best for MTL tanks for a stronger throat hit. Always check the recommended e-liquid ratio for your specific device and coil.
Common reasons include: A worn-out coil. Incorrect settings (wattage or temperature). Clogged airflow vents. Low battery power. Replace the coil, clean the tank, and ensure proper device settings to resolve this issue.
The physical tank itself can last years if properly maintained. However, replaceable components like coils and seals will need regular replacement.
Some vape tanks are compatible with coils from different brands, while others are not. Check your tank's specifications or consult the manufacturer to confirm compatibility.
Disposable coils are pre-made and designed for quick installation and replacement. Rebuildable coils allow users to build and customize the coil themselves, often used in RTAs and RDAs. This requires additional knowledge and tools.
To prevent spitback: Avoid overfilling the tank. Check if your coil is flooded; if it is, gently blow into the tank's airflow or replace the coil. Use wattage settings appropriate for your coil.
Regular maintenance is key to getting the best performance: Clean the tank at least once a week. Replace coils promptly when worn out. Keep the seals and O-rings in good condition.
