Replacement vape pods are made for specified devices or compatible device families. They are not universal: matching brands, shapes or capacities does not establish a fit. Check that the manufacturer lists your exact model as compatible before using a replacement. Some pods fit several models, but this must be confirmed.
This guide is for existing adult smokers and vapers aged 18 or over in the UK. It explains how to identify a replacement for a prefilled pod kit, distinguish pods from bottled e-liquid and check unclear product information.
Are vape pods interchangeable between devices?
Not as a general rule. A prefilled pod is a component of a particular system, and its compatibility depends on the device it was designed to work with.
Two pods can look similar without being interchangeable. A matching shape, liquid capacity or nicotine concentration is not a compatibility statement. Nor does a shared brand name mean that every pod in the range fits every device.
There are exceptions: some manufacturers specify that a pod works across several models within a device family. The useful distinction is between a documented match and an assumed one. Use the manufacturer's compatibility information for your exact device rather than testing whether an unfamiliar pod can be pushed into place.
This also applies when a product name changes slightly. A suffix such as "+", "Plus" or a model number may distinguish one system from another. Keep those details when checking the replacement listing.
You can see how the sealed-pod format works across the devices we stock in our vape kits collection, and our big puff vapes guide explains why high-capacity kits use the pod and container arrangement they do.
How do you identify the correct replacement pod?
Start with the device, then check the replacement pack. The following details help establish what the pack contains and whether it is intended for your kit.
Find the full device name
Check the device markings, original box and supplied instructions. Record the complete model name, including numbers and suffixes.
If the markings are unclear, an order confirmation may help identify the original kit. Do not rely on colour or appearance alone: a product photograph is useful context, but it does not replace a model name.
Check the stated compatible device
Look for an explicit compatibility statement in the replacement product description, packaging or manufacturer's instructions. It should identify your model or a compatible family that includes it.
A listing that mentions only a brand or a general description such as "prefilled pods" does not provide enough information. Ask the retailer to confirm the match before opening or using the pack.
Check the pod format and pack contents
Some replacement packs contain a pod and a separate or connected supply of prefilled liquid. Others use a different arrangement. Check what is included, whether any component must be retained from the existing kit and whether the battery device is supplied.
The number of components is not necessarily the number of complete replacements. Read the pack contents rather than judging from the product photograph.
Check capacities, strength and quantity
Confirm the stated pod capacity and any associated refill-container capacity. These describe the liquid supplied; they do not prove compatibility.
Check the nicotine concentration in mg/ml and the number of replacement units in the pack separately. Different strength or pack-size options should not be assumed to be available for every product.
If the product page and packaging disagree on any of these details, ask the retailer to clarify before use.
Replacement pod compatibility by device
The entries below record the compatibility and format stated in each product's information. This is not a complete list of pod systems.

Velto replacement units are specified for the Dinner Lady Velto battery device. They are not designed to be opened and filled with bottled e-liquid. Check the individual listing for pack contents and current availability.
The numbers used in device names are product identifiers here, not a prediction of how long a replacement will last. Identify the replacement by its stated compatibility rather than an advertised puff figure.
Bottled e-liquid ranges are different from replacement pods
A bottle of e-liquid is not a replacement pod. It supplies liquid for hardware designed to be refilled, while a sealed prefilled replacement supplies the device-specific component and its liquid.
The bottled Elux Salts, Elf Liq Salts and Bar Juice Salts ranges must not be confused with pod packs. A shared brand or flavour name does not make a bottle suitable for filling a sealed prefilled pod.
For bottled products, check the exact bottle's volume, nicotine concentration and labelled PG/VG ratio against the instructions for your refillable hardware. Those details should be checked for the individual product rather than assumed across a brand.
Do not open or puncture a sealed pod to add liquid. A component described as a "refill container" may supply liquid within a prefilled system; that wording does not mean the user can top it up from a bottle.
Our 10ml nic salt e-liquid guide covers bottled nic salt formats and the hardware they suit, and our Dinner Lady e-liquids range guide explains the distinction between the bottled formats we stock.
What happens if you use the wrong pod?
An incompatible pod may not seat or operate correctly. Do not force it into the device, alter its casing or modify the connection to make it fit.
If a replacement does not fit as expected, stop and check the model names on both products. Follow the supplied instructions for removing protective coverings, but do not dismantle the pod or device.
Contact the retailer if the match remains unclear. Provide the full device name, replacement-pack name and photographs of the relevant labels. Retain the packaging so the product can be identified.
Our prefilled pod vape kit guide covers setup and troubleshooting separately.
Where can you find compatibility information?
Use the manufacturer's instructions and the compatibility section of the exact product listing. Check whether the page describes a complete kit, a replacement pod or another component.
If information is missing or contradictory, seek confirmation from the retailer or manufacturer. A similar name, matching capacity or photograph alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
Frequently asked questions
Are all vape pods the same?
No. Pods differ in design, capacity and the devices they are made for, and they may be prefilled or refillable. A prefilled pod contains e-liquid and an integrated coil and is replaced as a unit, while a refillable pod is filled from a bottle. Check the specific system and its compatibility information before buying a replacement.
Can I use another brand's pods in my device?
Do not assume a pod from another brand will fit. Prefilled pod kits generally use proprietary pods, and a similar shape or connection does not indicate compatibility. Only use a replacement where the manufacturer explicitly confirms it works with your exact device. If a listing does not name your model, ask the retailer before buying.
Do pods from the same brand always fit?
No. Many brands sell several separate pod systems, and pods from one are often not compatible with another. Some pods are documented as working across a family of models, but that has to be stated rather than assumed. Check that the replacement listing names your exact model, including any suffix or model number.
How do I know which pod pack to buy?
Match your complete device name, including numbers and suffixes, to the compatibility statement on the replacement listing. Then check the pod format, what the pack contains, the nicotine concentration in mg/ml and the number of units supplied. If the product page and the packaging disagree on any detail, ask the retailer to confirm before use.
Can I refill a prefilled pod instead of replacing it?
No, where the manufacturer identifies the pod as non-refillable. Sealed prefilled pods are filled at manufacture and are not designed to be opened, punctured or topped up from a bottle. Attempting to open one may damage it and cause leakage. Fit a new replacement pod when the supplied e-liquid is depleted.
What should I do if a replacement pod does not fit?
Do not force it into place, alter its casing or modify the connection. Check the full model names on both the device and the replacement pack, and confirm that all protective coverings have been removed as the instructions direct. If the intended match is still unclear, contact the retailer with both product names and photographs of the labels.
This information is intended for existing adult smokers and existing adult vapers aged 18 or over in the UK. Nicotine-containing products contain nicotine, which is a highly addictive substance. Keep devices, pods and e-liquids out of the reach of children and pets.
